This week's cartoon is based on a passage in the Synopsis of Biological Data on the Green Turtle in the Hawaiian Islands (October 1980):
"In June 1974, the author watched a 2 m tiger shark beach itself momentarily on East Island during the unsuccessful pursuit of a juvenile green turtle that had fled to the shoreline."
